Past Confessions Part 2

Joe Sirois' father built the little library in our house in Andover.
Joe and I used to hang out. One time he bought me a Snickers Bar at Christys.

First time I saw them I got tossed out with in 5 minutes. my buddy Currly cosgrove
kid of knows some of the members so when i was going out with security dicky
yelled hey you with the minor threat shirt on you know currly, come up here
and show us how chicago stage-dives so I started to walk up and ten security
guys grabed me and carried me out yelling you fucken skin-heads you guy all
start shit! I'm not a skin, I think skins are just kids who have no friends
so they shave their heads to become friends with other "skins" but I did have
a shaved head so I said "I'm not a skin, Did you ever here of cancer?!?!?!
They apolgized let me bake in and in 5 more minutes i got tossed for drincking
and i was only 17.

sterch 2

I just read ratboy's comment, I agree songs should be fun and exiting beer, chicks,
and parties or what the bosstones were about. now they give you a ten minute
gutar solo. they say ska-core but why a ssd cover police beat or the shity
song lights out. they are still good, don't know how to party and the other
new 12" (I can't remember the name of) with the cop car on it, I have those
albumes but i have to skip the song that are metel. devels night out and
more niose and other disturbances are great. the bosstones are one of my
favorite bands but they are not ska-core they used to be punk with horns and
that was cool but know they are etheir metle with horns or else the are
wrighting for the raidio.

kelly riddick kmriddic@hamlet.uncg.edu

hey dickie. um...i saw you in winston-salem about two months ago and you let me hold
your hand at one point during the show. i'm not some psycho fan(well, not
THAT psycho) but i have to tell you that it was a cool as poop experience.
thank you so much for still putting out great music and playing the old
school stuff at your shows. yours, kelly

Roger Trim trimr@umich.edu

I saw the Bosstones play St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit in NOvember of 1994. In addition
to addition to being one of the best shows I've ever seen, the band hung
out afterward to sign autographs and hand out posters. Dicky signed my
Bosstones flyer, while Gittleman and I talked about playing bass. Joe
also signed my shirt. Remember to simmer down!!!!

I first heard Mighty Mighty Bosstones about 2 years ago.
I was really getting to like them when I heard how they covered songs by Bob
Marley and Minor threat. I liked how they were putting Ska and core together
in one type of music. If you like bands like the Specials or Skavoovie I suggest
that you listen to the Bosstones

Hey. We have a band that sort of takes after the Bosstones. We're called Son Of Spam, and we live and perform in Columbia, MD. If Anyone reads this, and wants more information, write back.

Corey

I just saw the bosstones two nights ago at Slippery Rock. It was horrible.
I hate to say that but it was. It was my 8th show, and it wasn't their finest
hour. Dicky was drunk and fucking up every song. Denis fucked up a couple times
also. Not that I expect every show to be awesome but I expect to hear more than
8 and 1/2 songs. They didn't even finish last dead mouse. I understand
Slippery Rock is in bum fuck but alot of us drove up there from pittsburgh just
for the show. I was going to go to Penn State next week but not now. I'm being
an asshole. The bosstones are still the best fucking band around no question.

Michael Bohne (boner) mjbohne@mailbox.syr.edu

Okay, I saw the Bosstones last night for the first time at Hungary
Charlie's, and they, of course, kicked major ass. It was the best show I
have ever seen. As my roommate said, "I have a whole new energy now."
Which is very true. I have been pumped ever since. This is all besides
the point. Tonight my girlfriend, whom I love very much, dumped me on my
ass, harshly. Any other given day I would have broken down and felt like
a weak asshole. But while on the phone all I could do was sing Bosstones
tunes. I don't feel like dying or killing, I just want to go see another
fucking show. I am going to drop women and school and follow the band. I
am glad I finally got my priorities straight. I guess I will see some of you in
Rochester. C-ya. O yeah Thank God I didn't lose any testicles at the show.

Brian Williams gt3321a@prism.gatech.edu

I saw the Bosstones for the first time (although i had wanted to go to a show previously)
when they came to Atlanta in February, and they kicked ass. The Bosstones
KICK ASS. THEY KICK ASS! MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES KICK ASS!

Dave Cooley dlcooley@mailbox.syr.edu

I just saw the Bosstones in Syracuse this past weekend and it was the best
show, of any kind, I have ever been to. The energy in the bar was so intense, and
the pit was crazy. The best part about the show, however, were the stage dives, I got up
there about three or four times. I would definitely say that it was worth the
three hours I waited in line in the April snow, and I was the first one in the place.
I can't wait until I see them again and shake Dicky's hand as I'm doing a crazy stage
dive. Oh, yeah. Mung was pretty cool too.

ATTENTION DIVERS

Stage Diving is a lost art form.
It used to be a person would dive 1,2 maby 3x per show.
Now we got these idiots who spend half the night on stage.
They spend the other half kicking people in the face.
Go with the flow.
Pick someone up if they have fallen.
Be kind to your neighbor.
Catch someone if they are in mid flight.
If someone is abusing the stage or other people, give em' 1 warning.
Then kick their ass.
Pit are not for jocks.

Dave Duganne

I saw the bosstones for the first time in march at the Cleveland Agora.

show kicked major ass. Then, after a two day notice, I
caught them at Slippery Rock University last Saturday.
This show kicked more ass. afterwards, we went to the tour bus to see if there was any chance
that we could meet the band. HOLY SHIT!! THEY ARE SO
FUCKING COOL!! We had long conversations with Ben, Joe,
Dennis, and of course Dicky. This show was one of the
greatest concert experiences of my life(I've seen many concerts)
Since the band does college tours, We'd be fucking thrilled as hell to see them come to Youngstown State University. Please suggest this to the band. SKA ON!!

steven blondo blondo@mhd1.moorhead.msus.edu

My first time seeing the Bosstones, was at 1st Ave. in Minneapolis. . . I wrote to the band shortly after. . . and was so happy to get a response. . .thanks boys!I love the Bosstones adn am so happy to find this site!

Reggie G. csimpso2@ithaca@edu

I just interviewed the 'Tones in Buffalo for a TV show and the guys are
geniuses. Kevin and Ben were really cool and treated me as if I were a person.
Too often big band members are real suck jobs but the Bosstones were really down to
earth. Rock on with your bad self. Bad in Plaid.

Reggie

The shit rocked so hard i fuckin creamed my drawers!

Matthew West mwes1468@uriacc.uri.edu

The first time I ever went to a Bosstones show, I waited until "Do Something Crazy" to get up on stage...
I though that the bouncers would toss me off, like every other person who got on stage that night.
I was on stage, and before the bouncer could get to me, Ben Carr pushed him away and Ben had
me on stage dancing for like three songs....

Matt Ellis gsi3014@gsaix2.cc.gasou.edu
WVGS 91.9

Sorry to say it pals, but you guys fickin' sold out. You guys fuckin' suck and now you guys are a buch of fuckin pussys. And you don't need to call yourselves SKA/PUNK/HARDCORE. Your really just fuckin' heavy metal band. Sorry I couldn't have a few Kinder Words, Dorks!!!!!!

Woz

Matt Ellis is the kind of person who deserves to be drug out in
the street and shot in the head. It's the poser-jock type like you
who shouldn't be talking about the Bosstones like that. Why don't you go wash your no fear T-shirt. You're a stupid chickendick, clit-nose,
dillweed, bit-screw, crap-ass, dildo-sneeze, pud-biting, apple-anus,
butt-nut, ass-pirate, cunt-munch! The BOSSTONES kick ASS!

Eric

Score one for the good guys. The Bosstones kick ass!!

Nipsy nipsy@deeptht.armory.com

The Bosstones are spiffy! I really like their clean cut hair-dos, and the way they never ever talk about NAUGHTY things like beer.

A Mighty Mighty Fan

The bosstones are one of the greatest bands in existence.
I saw them for the first in concert at the Agora in Cleveland, OH.
I've always liked their music, but in concert they are unbelievable.
Dickey's stage presence is enparalled. He is perhaps the most down to earth
professional musician that I know.

DICKEY, CAN YOU HERE ME?
Don't ever sell out to some big label record company. Keep the Ska-sound.

Rob Feissner rffeissn@mailbox.syr.edu

Like I have in love with the Bosstones since thier first album. I went to
their show last night and it was the most kick ass concert ever. The only
was that I lost my hat and my watch. But it was well worth it. I also saw
a girl bra ripped off stage and that was cool. Until the next show.
Mighty Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Jason Remy

Not yet had the oportunity to see them live, (no shit) but been a fan for
years (atleast of the albums) My girlfriend's seen'em, and that pisses me off.
The first BossTones song I heard was "Think Again" back when it was new.
Heard it in 1991 or 92 on "Bay State Rock", WAAF 107.3 Boston, the DJ was
Carmalita. I almost came when I heard them. Within 2 weeks I owned every
MMBTs recording except the Where'd you go extended single (w/ Enter
Sandman & Ain't Talkin 'Bout Love) I got that one a month later. Now I got
everything except the simmer down single, tho I'm not too worried, cuz it
doesn't have any different songs on it.

The Naked Grandpa Mike Faas faasmike@vax1.elon.edu

I saw the Bosstons once, and it was a show to remember. It was
durring my junior year of High School, and a friend of mine had gotten tix.
Before then, I had just heard the albumn "Don't Know how to Party". They were
on the Ska-Core tour. Anyway, we had no clue where the club was, (City Gardens
in Trenton, New Jersey) and we just new it was in Trenton. We jumped on the
highway and prayed to see a sign. No Sign. We just drove around town, and
luckily we found the club. It was the best show that I have ever seen. Shootyz
Groove opened, and got the crowd rilled up. Between Bands, I saw some guys
from my school. They came up to me and said that I wasn't the typical type of
person to seee at a Bosstone show. One Started making fun of me and telling
me that I was a wanna-be fan. Well Fuck him. Since the show, I have gone out
and bought every Bosstone albumn. All of the other people i saw with the fucker
had some sorta newfound respect for me. They never thought that I was into this
stuff and loved me for it. The other fucker got exiled from the school and went
into jail for stealing a car. Who is listening to the Bosstones now? Anyway,
I just wanna thank the bosstones for a great show.
btw, if anyone is in greensboro/chapel hill NC area, tune into 89.3FM for the
Naked Grandpa's.

Jeff jmr168@psu.edu

Last night the Bosstones played here in State College in this little club called Crowbar.
The first band, a local one called the Dirges were decent, and then Mung came on and got
the crowd moshing. Then the Bosstones came on and kicked ass!! They played a lot from Question
The Answers and not much from Devils Night Out. They didn't miss a beat! They just kicked
every song out with awesome intensity!
Their best song by far last night was "Last Dead Mouse" from the Don't Know..
CD.
Last night was my first Bossstones concert, but defiantely not my last!!
Keep moshing up the nation!!!!! MIGHT MIGHTY, BOSSTONES!

Jenni jkmst11+@pitt.edu

The first time I saw the Bosstones was last summer (94) and it was while they
were on tour with Black Train Jack. It was BY FAR the best concert I have
ever been to! It rocked. I am not a very big person but I joined in the pit
anyway! I was black and blue for weeks but it was definately worth it! I got
to meet them this year and I have to say they are just about the friendliest
guys I have ever met. They were at a music store here and they were all at a
table signing autographs and asking about how their concerts were. I have to
say that I like them even more now. A friend of mine orignially got me into
them in 92 when he told me that he went to school with a bunch of them and I
have to say I didn't really believe him when he told me they were a bunch of
great guys. Now that I have not only seen them in concert, I have met them
and I can honestly second that!!!! Someone let me knoe the next time they are
coming to Pittsburgh if at all possible!! Thank you!

mat martin mwmartin.ucs@smtp.usi.edu

the first time i saw the bosstones was a couple of years ago in indianapolis. opening was a band from bloomington called johnny socko(who fucking rock by the way) and shootyz groove(who also rock). it was a relatively small crowd, but that didn't stop boston's favorite sons from putting on the most incredible show i've ever witnessed. well, about halfway through the set, the energy was pumping and i was feeling a little frisky, so i thought i would act like one of the many rubber 15 yr. olds and stage dive. i did so with much gusto and the next thing i know, i'm flipped mid-air and land on top of my friend dennis-sending both of us crashing to the floor. i cracked my head open and dislocated my shoulder, and dennis got a sore back. we were rushed to the hospital, being told that i had almost certainly broken my neck and that dennis might have to. well after an eternity strapped on the board, and several x-rays later, the patch me up and send me on my way. the bosstones stopped the show when they found out we were hurt, came off of the stage and looked down at us. i remember peering up with my one watery eye(the other was covered in blood) and seeing the look on dickey's face. that's when i knew i was fucked up pretty bad, because he looked at me like "man, this guy's fucked up pretty bad.". they didn't play anymore that night and gave dennis and i tons of t-shirts. i felt bad that i ruined the show, and also because i had dislocated my shoulder and had a slight concussion. i still have a scar that extends from my left eyebrow along the crest of my skull. needless to say, this was a memorable first concert. ever since then, i've remained firmly grounded at their shows, skanking my ass off and usually wearing my bosstones shirt that was used to sop up my blood when i cracked my head open. the worst thing about the evening was that i didn't get to hear "never lose my wallet"-a personal favorite.

Big A the Pimp adriansvesko@tdp.org

I saw the Bosstones at the Academy in NYC in November of 1993. It was Johnny
Vegas's birthday and Dicky honored him with a song. During their second encore
I ran up on stage with all the other misfits and in the fray I spotted my good
friend Dee. We jumped in eachothers arms all long lost lover type, and reveled
in the moment. They kicked us all off, but not before I wished Johnny Vegas
Happy Birthday. I couldn't hear the next day, and I lost my hat and bloodied
my nose stagediving, but it was quite cool. Thanx eh!

Pete O'Callaghan POCALLA1@ITHACA.EDU

Ben Carr rocked the house like a little prince in Buffalo when we
interviewed him for Frequency (Ithaca College's student video show)
and he can shoot pool like a champ. 'Nuff said. Thanks. Bye.

They just played State College, PA (Penn State,) Dickie said they are never commig back, the crowd sucked.

OK, so I'm at the Sting in New Britain, CT. All I know of moshing is what
what I learned at Nine Inch Nails in Boston where people pretty much
just try to kill each other. Anyway, I'm at the Bosstones show and
I'm moshing and skanking away, and I'm AMAZED at how cool the crowd
is. I'm getting pretty tired and so I'm trying to work my way out of
the pit. On my way, I run into this guy who's about 7 feet tall and
is wearing lots of leather and looks very scary. He gives me a swift
elbow to the face and my nose is bleeding, and he's like, "Dude, I am
SOOOOOOO sorry!! Are you OK? Can I give you a hand?" And then he
basically CARRIED me out of the pit and helped me out. Pretty cool crowd at these Bosstones shows. :)

Dwight Blake

i have been a fan for years, since back when they used to play at the WAG
in worcester massachusetts, and i have to say that the best song they
have ever recorded would have to be "Pirate Ship" off the new record
and if you haven't heard it, go out and get the record because it smokes

hi there, i just got back from seeing the bosstones in norwich vermont.
the show was great, and get this, before the show, since a friend of mine
and i had to hitch hike down we were 4 1/2 hours early, so we hung out in
the fieldhouse. turns out that after the band got there, we played whiffle
ball with dickie and joe, along with tommy and vinny from Mung. it was a
blast. see you later

eric eds118@psu.edu

I saw the bosstones for the third time on 4/19 it was by far the best show
yet. They went into a great version of Marley's simmer down. They
played at a sold out show at the crowbar in State College Pa. home of the
#1 nittany lions. Opening act Mung and Hometown favorites the Dirges
also put on good shows. Mung highlighted their part with a
operation ivy cover the crowd loved it.

This weekend (4/21/95) I went to the show in Northfield, Vermont. It was
a great show with the exception of those stupid military academy kids,
not the best crowd I have ever seen. The music was sweet, even though I
would've liked to have heard some more stuff from More Noise. Dickey was
and will always be the coolest. Does anyone else agree with me when I say
that the Lollapaloser thing is kindof a sellout. I mean I am still going
to make the show, but I think all those other bands aren't of the same
calibur as the Bosstones. I still think that it would be cool for the
Bosstones to bring the show back to Boston, but they should just keep
touring by themselves. They don't need all those other bands or MTV.

S. Minzy

The first time I saw the Bosstones was at the Channel in Boston about the same
time as the Converse commercial (1990-91). They stoped half way into the
show becase a bouncer threw a kid out for being on the stage. It was cool
seeing Dickey standing there yelling "bring back the tall kid" about six
times then saying "no one get thrown out of a Bosstones show", dropping
the mike and walking. I've said hi and talked to Dicky a few times and no
matter what he was doing he stopped and was real cool.

I also got my Question CD signed at this midnight party thing at Newbury
Comics. And watched this semi-pathetic kid all dressed plaid, homemade bosstones
T-shirt plaid tie wrapped around his head go nuts as soon as he went through
the store door. I mean this kid was yelling(loud) things like "you guys are
gods" and "I can't belive I'm meeting you". So Dickey said come here gave him
a hug, some free stuff and made him hug the rest of the band.
Good guys all around

Doc

Hey! I unfortunately have not gotten to see the Bosstones live yet. I do
have a friend that goes to BU who is on the lookout for any shows.
I am more than willing to donate a nut to see a Bosstones show.

Hey, how come none of you old school Bosstones fans aren't mad as
hell about the boys doing Lalapalooza this summer. This could make the band
huge, and therefore out of reach. I don't know about you, but I am siked
that I can still see my favorite band (and at time reason for living) at
small venues like the middle east, T T the Bears, Pearl St, and the UMass
student union ballroom. I also don't want to here them on a pop station
or at a fraternity party. Lalapalooza makes bands huge and I like seeing
the same small group of people at the shows.

On another note, if you like MMB and don't listen to any other SKA you
owe it to yourself to check out some other cool bands. Suggestions:

Operation Ivy (heavy punk influence, incredible)
Bim Skala Bim (great in concert, Vinny is the man)
Steady Earnest (Hmm that lead singer (dan Vitale) looks awfully famialar)
Mr. Cranky (unbelievable)
respect the Specials and the Beat and all the old school stuff

Best Ska compilation:
obviously Mash it up, I (Boston Ska)

best for an overview of our nations best ska:
Moon Record's "Skamagedon" forgive the spelling
double CD with something like 30 great tunes

I have had the pleasure of having three bosstone experiences if you want to call it that. My first was at Southampton colloge, where my band was supposed to play as well. It took place in the gym, but unfortunately not a lot of people showed up. This was a good show in support of More Noise, and I got to talk to some members of the band before they played. My next experience was recently at the academy in New York, which was one of the best shows I've seen. I don't know how they pulled it off, but they managed to talk the bouncers in to letting us stage dive at a place I never thought would allow it. The only trouble here were two things, first, a whole bunch of people who just came to push people around, and second, while the bosstones were in the middle of playing their SOD cover, I fell on my ass, and had to watch from the back for the rest of the concert. At this show, the lead singer from murphy's law came out and sung cavity creep, and ironicly, at the next show I saw them at in poughkipsee at the chance, the old drummer from murphy's law came out and did the same thing. The bosstones were also very kind and gave us all free tee-shirts that night. My last experience was meeting Ben Carr selling shirts at poughkipsee, he was really cool about all the questions I was asking him. Well those are my experiences, but if anyone would like some info on how to get their zine, 737, write to me, it's got a lot of cool stuff in it, like catalogs for Big Rig items.

The summer after I graduated from college ('93) I couldn't find a job
(being an American Studies major apparently didn't qualify me for much)
so I was trapped at home in sweltering, cornstalk-infested Allentown, PA
and I went into some kind of Bosstones seizure and painted two wooden chairs
completely plaid.

I'm a rebel, I know. But if you want to see pictures of the chairs, email
me and I'll send them to you. Maybe you could even buy one, although I
probably couldn't put a price on all of the blood, sweat, tears, and not to
mention latex enamel that it cost me.

I confess to taking some picks out of the supply case at the Pittsburgh show at Metropol, with
Face-to-Face and Wax. I think that you guys come back to Pittsburgh soon. I hope to return some
picks to you guys. For I feel what I have done is wrong.

greedo

if you think the bosstones sold out by joining lollapaloza then that makes sonic youth and pavement sellouts. whatever

More to Say

I'm having a real hard time w/accepting the whole Lolla thing
It's not that I don't want them to have sucess..its just...i ddont know
NO I do know
I don't wanna be stuck in some 10,000+ stadium in the nosebleeds tring to
make out the expressions on the bands faces
I also am sick of asshole drunck jocks whose idea of a good time is
getting fucked up, goi to a show, hit kids in the pit,
climb on stage and squash somebody..
I'm not a fucking asshole who want's the band to myself
I just like fun shows in small clubs, singing a few lines,
talking with the band, and having a good time
Is that too much to ask?
It will be at lolla w/ 30,000+ people, won't it.
Nobody on stage at a MMB show!
God Help us.

kristina fleischer fleischk@marl.la.ca.us

once i saw the bosstones at the hollywood palladium at a rock
for choice benefit and dicky helped me on stage and i sang w/ him
on stage 'Someday.." and skanked around with the Bosstone. Then i saw them
at Board aid and skanked on stage again!!! Thaty was the happiest week
of my life. Bosstones Rok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vinod tetsuo@grove.ufl.edu

Bosstones fucking rule, I will never forget my first MMB concert.
A word of advice to fellow fans, dont jump on stage after the song ends,
Dicky has been known to deliver wedgies.

          keep skankin'

Easy Fersch

I've seen them 12 times and cant wait to see em again.

ROBERT REDNECK

I REMEMBER SEEING THE BOSTONES AT A SHOW AT THE ONE STEP BEYOND IN 1990. MAN THAT WAS THE BEST DAMN SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN THESE GUYS PUT ON!!!
THERE WHERE NO FUCKING JOCK ROCK, BAGGY PANTS(PUSSY PANTS) FUCK HEADS THERE. IT WAS JUST RUDIES AND PUNKS AND OF COURSE, SKINHEADS!
IT WAS GREAT, THE SKINS ALL BEAT EVERY ONE UP, THE BAND STOPPED PLAYING LIKE THREE TIMES, THISGS IN THE CLUB WHERE GOING TOTALLY INSANE.
THEN THIS KID JUMPED OFF THE STAGE( BACK THEN BOUNCERS AND CLUB OWNERS RELLY WHERE AGAINT PEOPLE WHO STAGE DIVE, AND THEY HIRE THE GIANT FUCKING
MONSTER BEHEMOTH ASS HOLE TO GAURD THE STAGE, IF YOU JUMPED OFF, THEY WOULD KICK YOU OUT AND PROCEED TO ALSO KICK THE SHIT OUT OF YOU. WOW THE GOOD OLD DAYS)
AND THE BOUNCERS TOOK HIM AWAY AND EVERY ONE IN THE CLUB WHERE GIVING THE BOUNCERS SHIT, INCLUDING THE BAND. FINALLY THE BAND SAID THEY WOULD NOT
CONTINUE PLAYING IF THE KID WAS NOT LET BACK IN. AND HE WASNT SO THE BOSSTONES LEFT.
WHAT A MISTAKE FOR THE OWNER OF THE CLUB, WE ALL BROKE MORE SHIT IN THAT CLUB THAN SOME FAGGOT ASS METALLICA TYPE CROWD COULD EVER DO!
IT WAS GREAT, THE GOOD OLD DAYS.( DONT WORRY IM JUST A GRUMPY OLD STOOPID SKIN, WHO DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU ANYWAY!)

JOE HAWKINS

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH RATBOY. ALL THE LATE BOSSTONE SHOWS DO REALLY SUCK! THE ONES IN THE BEGINNIG WHERE OK, BUT NOW SINCE ALL THE STUPID OFFSPRING, GREENDAY FAGGOT WANNABE'S ARE AT THE SHOW,I THINK I'S RATHER SIT AT HOME AND DRINK BEER AND FUCK MY GIRLFREIND.

Tom Crockett

I have to agree with Ratboy and Joe Hawkins. The old Bosstones show
were so much better, when people knew what Devil's Night Out was. The first
time I seen the Bosstones they played all night with a crowd of 100 people.
This was one of the best shows I ever went to. I just seen them for the
5th time a couple of months ago. The show sucked. It was sold out to max.
capacity. They were on stage for about 45 min. And there were to many of,
what me and my friens like to call, the MAll-ternatives, these are the
young-bucks that have only the opinions that MTV gives them.

elaine estrogen@thunder.indstate.edu

i first saw the boys in august of 1994 at Bogard's in cinci.
it was good stuff and the crowd was intense.
i have NEVER sweat so much in my life.
i rode 3 hours home: wet and stinking the entie way.
but, by far, the best part of the show was when Dicky came out to
the crowd and i kissed his sweaty forehead.
it was salty, but wonderful.
just like i always thought it would be...

FIZBAN

.....UM..... THE BOSTONES RULE!!!!!!

Issac jb889@bard.edu

What up with all of you guys dissing on the bosstones?
For all it's worth, I think that no matter who shows up to their
shows, that their music still fucking rocks!

I think that you suck, and that you are a bunch of dorks for not putting any Boston ska acts except for one on your 5-night stint at the Middle East. Give me a break, Boston ska my ass. Moon kicks your ass for Boston ska support, and they're based out of NYC! And by the way, your cover of Simmer Down sucks the big donkey. If I gave the sheet music to a bunch of bile-spewing frat boys, they'd sound better. Give me a fucking break, you guys are the furthest thing from Boston ska.

David Altherr da124994@oak.cats.ohiou.educ.

The first time I saw the Bosstones was in 93 around the time of "D.K.H.T.P."
they were incredible, I had heard one song by them(Someday) and I remembered
the converse commercial on MTV. I saw them at the Newport in Columbus, OH
with Shootyz Groove. The show was incredible, it was the last night of the
tour, so the Bosstones put on a hell of a show. All 200 or so of the people
their loved it. I've seen the Bosstones a mere 3 times and that first show is
still my favorite.

The first time I saw the bosstones in concert was October 5, 1991. At the outhouse in Lawrence Kansas. This is a great little shithole five miles out of town in a fucking bean field! Nosecurity, no cops, just pure punk fun! There were like maybe 100 people there for the show! It was the Bosstones and Murphy's Law. Murphy's law had brought a crap load of beer and nitrous so the crowd was wild! The bosstone's played the best I have ever seen them play! The horn section even came back out to play with Murphy's Law!!!
I have since seen the bosstones about 6 times, but none will ever compare!
