Donnas Hope To Hit The Road, If They Can Find A Ride from MTV Online
Teen punk rock purists the Donnas are hoping to mount a U.S. tour this summer, but there are a few obstacles the girls must overcome first. The little Palo Alto, California band that could wants to play the States this summer, but as bassist Donna F. told MTV News recently, the band's summer tour plans depend on, "If we can get a driver." Singer Donna A. explained, "None of us are old enough to drive rental cars, and we don't have a van." "Plus we don't really have any money right now," guitarist Donna R. added. "We're not like making an income at this point. We're making like a little bit of pocket change at shows, so if we went on some kind of tour, we would have to have expenses paid, like hotel, food, everything. So it sort of depends on those circumstances." Apparently, the Donnas were, like, able to scrape together at least a few bucks since then as the band is currently rolling across Europe with its "American Teenage Rock And Roll Machine." We'll keep you posted on the band's Stateside plans. |
